Jelení Hora is a city in southwestern Poland in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, it has the status of an independent urban district and is also the seat of the Krkonoše District. It is also the seat of the Polish representation of the Nisa Euroregion. 33 km / 37 min. by car
the Neo-Gothic lookout tower Štěpánka standing on top of Hvězd (959 m.a.s.l.), which is the oldest lookout tower in the Jizera Mountains. It began to be built in 1847, but was not completed until 1892. It offers a wonderful view of the western Krkonoše (and part of Harrachov) and the Jizera Mountains.
